Would you ever date a guy who wasn’t circumcised?

Yes Rory, I did realize that, but with all respect, that hasn’t answered the question has it?
Studies show there are higher rates of cervical cancer with women who have uncirc’d partners.

You do realize that the vast majority of men aren’t circumcised?

Only about 30% of men are, and 70% of them are Muslim (I haven’t anything against Muslim I just thought I’d add some details)

Edit: Luckily I won’t be getting cervical cancer from going out with a guy, lacking a vagina etc.
Are you that worried about getting cervical cancer? Never go to Europe is my advise to you.

Just a tid-bit for the answer below me 80% of Europeans are uncircumcised, meaning the majority of "westerners and Americans" are actually uncircumcised, considering there are 500 million people in the EU, more than the US.

I’ve been doing some reading on this, apparently the reason circumcised mens female partners are less likely to have cervical cancer (about 20% less likely) is because those men are less likely to have HPV

So I would only worry if I was sleeping with a guy who was likely to have STI’S, in monogamous relationships this shouldn’t be a problem.

In conclusion, blame man-whores.

Most American and Western men are circumcised just for the record.

Um sure, I never did quite understand the big deal. I heard it has to do with cleanliness? Idk. If what you say is true then hell no I wouldn’t. I mean gardasil is great and everything but I can’t play around with my health like that.

I wouldn’t dump a guy for it immediately, I would explain my concern and go to a doctor asking questions and getting facts from a professional.

EDIT: Really? Okay just American then. I am not from Europe or Canada so I really wouldn’t know or care. Perhaps this is just an American thing then lol

Hey Evie, Just for the record you are wrong!

Here are some estimated rates of circumcision in the "west"

    Spain – less than 2%
    Denmark – less than 2%
    Finland – 7%
Europe as a whole – less than 20%
New Zealand – less than 20%
    Canada – 30%

Circumcised men are in the minority in the world and it is done purely for religious or cultural reasons. It is unnecessary and barbaric.

And how are you supposed to know ahead of time. "Hey, would you like to go to dinner sometime?"
    "Maybe. Are you circumcised?"

Or is there some secret way you find out?

It’s a barbaric practice. Nature put a foreskin there for a reason.
And Europe is or at least used to be Christian so no we don’t get the skin chopped.

As I’m not gay, I’ll never date a guy regardless of whether his genitals have been mutilated or not.

I’ve never dated anything else. I am English, and it is not the custom here for men to be circumcised unless they are jewish. The thought of a circumcised penis gives the screaming heebie-jeebies, I have no wish at all to ever see one, let alone touch one.

And I am frankly sceptical about the cervical cancer thing.

Yes it honestly doesn’t matter that much. I thought dating was supposed to be about you know figuring out what the person is all about. I didn’t know it was about whether someone was uncircumcised or not.

I have no problems dating men who are intact. I really can’t imagine having an infant son and permitting strangers to take him from me, strap him down under bright lights, and snip away at his genitals. It’s barbaric.
And though I’m atheist, I think it’s a safe bet that God doesn’t want your foreskins. Just saying.

"Studies show there are higher rates of cervical cancer with women who have uncirc’d partners."

There are no high rates of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is very rare no matter what so obviously you are making up that fact. Also this study that had this theory foudn out that it wasn’t true. This was the same study that hypothizised smegma was the casue for cervical cancer. However women produce 10 times as much smegma as males and dead skin cells and old lubricating fluid in no way radiate cells to cause cancer. That is a false claim and I believe it was pulled out of your butt because that statement that it reduces that risk has been disproven and never reproven in 10 years, nor will it ever be.

If you are talking about the HPV studies those have shown a completly different thing. Those studies made a theory statement in their study saying it might correlate however no one has shown any evidence for it and it hasen’t been tested yet. Learn how to read studies and don’t believe everything you hear.
Those studies showed circumcised men got rid of HPV much quicker than uncircumcised men however the study also showed uncircumcised men where less likely to get the same strand of HPV the second time. They stated this had something to do with the virus staying in the body long enough to build stronger immunity.

Yes I would date and have dated men who were uncircumcised.
