Why do you think BLACK WOMEN are dating OUTSIDE of their race so much these days?

Statistically, black women have been slow to date outside the black race. That is until recently. The sharpest increase in new interracial marriages/relationships is between black WOMEN and white men. (Black men still date white women in larger numbers than black women) But black women seem to be ditching black men.

I know none of us are experts, but why do YOU think black women are dating interracially so much these days?

Because… they want to or they can ..

    As a Black woman I haven’t noticed this trend. Can you give some information or website with statistics? If they are it is because they are tired of being alone while some self hating black man gets someone of a different race.

    Where I live a see it increasing alot. I used to never see bw with wm but I see if more often then not now. I dunno maybe black women are tired of waiting around for a good black man. I heard once you go white it’s out of sight!

    where im from. ATL, most blk ppl date inside their race. the stat of us dating out is small and insignificant. and why does it matter who blk ppl are dating? asian women and white men date outsid at a greater % than any of us, in fact blk ppl as a whole are the least likely to go outside their race so why are blk ppls dating preferences concerned so much?

    edit: also why is it black men have to be used as a scapegoat as a reason for why black women interracial date?

    I agree with seethegreatness. Most black people date other black people, but I do notice that more and more bw are dating out. Its usually younger high school and college aged people but I do see the increase. I was at Forever 21 the other day and this little 2 y/o boy ran passed giggling. He was SO cute and he had a big head of curls and I looked over and his dad was this tall white guy playing with him & his mother was this black lady shopping. I see that more & more (& my Aunt & cousin are married to white men).

    Personally I dont care who anyone dates. I prefer black men, I prefer black kids and a black family, but I wouldn’t see it any differently if I ended up with an Asian man. Black men date out so black women can date out as well. Its all about finding >>❤<< isn’t it??

    HONESTLY I was raised not to! My father says he’ll disown me, and I would I’m too close to him to lose him! I think white guys are hot, and many attractive one’s have flirted with me to the point where i became curious! I love black men because they are sexy, and i feel they understand me more! I am married to a black man right now! If it didn’t work out, I MIGHT start having an open mind! I just fear disappointing my dad! I think black women that date outside of black men just want a GOOD man regardless of race!
