While in the Navy I saw this a lot. And to tell you the truth, it really doesn’t bother me. I’ve become so used to seeing it in a multi-cultural back ground that it’s old news to me. A lot of my black male friends are married too and have kids with Asian/Pacific Islander/Hispanic women, so the way I see it is if you love the one you’re with, who cares what anyone else thinks. I’ve even seen a few Filipino men who’ve made my head turn a time or two

I have a lot of Filipino friends and the majority of them date black guys more than white guys. To each her own. Follow your heart. And like Ramon A said, love is colorblind, and race is non-existent when it comes to love.

I think they’re okay with it as long as they don’t date anyone white. Black women hate when white women date "their" men and black men don’t like it when black women date outside their race period.

Edit: I will admit more black women are open minded about black men dating outside their race but with black men seeing black women dating other men (esp white men) forget about it. Downthumb me all you want but its the truth my friends.

It doesn't matter to me. If there is mutual love and attraction, then you should give it a chance. Life is too short to cut out potential partners because they happen to be a different ethnicity. I'm black and my boyfriend is Japanese, and I'm so glad that neither of us worried about the interracial thing.

my cousin is married to a Filipino women. No one really has a problem with it in my family. She is real sweet and can cook so good, so I can see why any man would want her. But I do understand your delimma. In general most black women would prefer to see a black man with another black women, but don’t concerm yourself. Your friends should support your decisions and not judge you. You shouldn’t worry about what others think. I suggest that you date men you are attracted to and forget about categorizing them by race.

I think people should date whomever they want. I've known of a number of filipino/black relationships. Some work out, some don't.
