U go Helena Gurl, … U go Helena Gurl, do yo thang! The haters can kiss your azz. If she wuz a successful single man they’d say, he just aint found the right woman good enuff for him yet. He can’t be wit just anybody. But a successful single woman is ‘sposed to be wrong for having standards. Folks say she got attitude & think she’s to good for a man. C the double standards? She aint but 29 dang! she may not even want marriage & kids, that’s a lot of work! git real she be living her life like it’s golden!

Interesting that … Interesting that Paul asked Helena about , her missing father. It almost seems he wants to allude that Helena is like she is because she had no father figure. What about men who grow up without fathers? What are they lacking? Since most homes are headed by single mothers, men miss the fatherly guidance on how to become a man. Perhaps this is why many of them want women ‘mother/invest’ in them when they’re grown men, something their parents should have done during the formative years.

Helena believes in … Helena believes in the shopping over investment good for her. Helena is a highly successful accomplished wn. She has every right to want a mate who has Proven that he is successful in his own right too and can be compatible with her. Traditional men who balk at this type of thinking should just get over themselves. They are mad because they’ve self-select themselves out of the pool. It’s common knowledge that most people date on a similiar socioeconomical &educational level.

A lot of comments … A lot of comments I’ve read posted by men show that they think relationships are run only one way & that way is usually dictated by what ‘they’ want. It’s their way or the highway. Accomplished successful wn like Helena are viewed as bitchy. But this reflects more of that man’s insecurity in his role because he is floundering and cant’ find his way with modern day wn of Helena’s ilk. Helena is just fine the way she is. She just needs to choose a man (and she will) who is compatible with her.

Good points. … Good points. Helena & a lot of other wn like her don’t fit the traditional roles that a lot of BM are conditioned to think women should fit. Wn have evolved, but as Paul pointed out, men haven’t changed and many refuse to. They want wn to suit them. They expect the bw to change herself to suit his traditional views on relationship roles. Men like that, are better off being with wn who are compatible with them on that traditional thinking, and not expect all women to be like what they want.
