Paul, great … Paul, great interview with Helena. I can’t wait for Part II. Nope, reason she is single isn’t because of her success! There is more going on there for sure so will see what happens in part II before I comment further.

I liked the … I liked the interview. Titles sell books and her book title provoked strong reactions which will lead people to buy her book. That’s an old marketing gimmick. Being In Total Control of Herself. is the New Black. I’m very happy for Helena’s success and I wish her well. That’s awesome her book is made into a movie by a heavy hitter in Hollywood, think of all the work for black actors & writers. I hope this will be as big as sex in the city!

I got super excited … I got super excited by that Jamaican flag on your desk, nice reppin.
My excitement quickly disappeared once Helena started giving out pg answers to your questions and deflecting the blame on the Post. She should standup for what she created and comparing her book to Kaffir Boy is a bit much. I understand what she was trying to say but uuuhhmmm… try again. Hopefully she comes off more real in part II, she appears completely uninteresting and without depth.

I can’t wait for … I can’t wait for part 2! I think I know why she is single and it is not related to her success. Hummmm I wonder if this will be addressed in part 2….waiting on pins and needles.

This is interesting … This is interesting. It’s pretty much led me to believe that all of these articles and various pieces don’t really mean much. It’s just about entertainment and creating a “buzz”. You can’t really take this stuff seriously.

I feel like I need … I feel like I need to see the entire video before giving an official comment regarding Helena. However, I honestly feel like there is more to the real reason why she is single. I do not feel like it has anything to do with her success. Great interview and I am waiting for part 2 to see if some of my thoughts are correct. All I saw was someone who needs to drum up buzz for her book. I don’t know if we will ever see the real Helena.

Agreed agreed … Agreed agreed Ananda. This short piece gives people a different view of Helena, who, may have been suffering from poor image in the media or more specifically, the black community. I loved how she went along with the outrageous Queen to Be song and intro. She’s fun and flirty, bright, and coming up. Wishing her the best and looking forward to the conversations that will follow. @OriginalNajeema
