    most successful …
    most successful black women don’t go for lower educated or unemployed brothas and its a sham because if these classy sussessful black women would give black men a chance maybe they could push these black men in the right direction and that may be leading him to his carrer goals whatever that may be real eastate investing in his future ect. sometimes a lonley guy thats not successful needs a push in the right direction

    I’ve enjoyed this …
    I’ve enjoyed this show and your other shows, but I disagree with the “shopping for a house analogy,” When you’re shopping for a house, you don’t look everywhere. There are certain neighbourhoods with high crime rates. High rates of theft, robbery and murder… those neighbourhoods you steer clear off. Same goes for men and vice versa.

    I see what you’re …
    I see what you’re saying,but i actually think more women have the investment mentality. What i mean is many women tend to see the potential in a guy which makes them stay longer in a relationship,bc that ‘potential’ they see overshadows reality,which is a relationship that isn’t healthy for them.A person will never change til it comes from within and women shouldnt wait around for someone who refuses to change. The classic ‘fix him/change him’ syndrome.Not to generalize, but its verrry common.

    zk92000 “Giving a …
    zk92000 “Giving a man 10K and without at least having him sign a legal contract so he has to pay it back is foolish”

    What’s with the assumptions? Show me in my post where I talked about legal contracts being signed? Did I get into that? No I did not. So you don’t know anything about that at all. So why are you assuming otherwise? You seem quick to pass negative critical judgement leaping to ‘your conclusions’ without first knowing all the facts or asking.

  6. nancydrew5 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    zk9200 but you are …
    zk9200 but you are generalizing by implying that men who make bad decisions are either thugs, foolish, or something. And you really don’t know enough about someone else’s business to make a judgement call. I didn’t go into details about my friends’ situation, I gave a brief summary. At any rate, people do make unwise decisions. I’m sure you’ve done it a time or two in your lifetime. Humans are fallible, that’s what makes them human. But wise people learn from their mistakes.

    zk9200 ” I never …
    zk9200 ” I never said they were”
    But your implications are pretty clear based on your comments to me. “Your looking at the wrong men. of course u can find the bad ones if u want to”

    Things aren’t always cut and dried, black/white/good/bad as you’re tending to oversimplify things. Unless we are in a relationship we don’t know what goes on in other people’s household. just as I never said ‘ALL men, I said, “Men’, you concluded I meant all, and chastised me about generalizing.

    Zk9200, ‘My mom …
    Zk9200, ‘My mom used to tell me it takes a woman to make a stronger man’
    That’s interesting, my dad always told me to make sure the man I choose is someone who is strong, successful, & capable of taking care of his family. He always advocated for me to look for a man with all the manly traits in place. He’d be the first to tell me not to go for a sapling and try to raise him up to be an oak. If that guy didn’t have the gumption to get their own his own, he never will.

    zk9200 ” i thnk …
    zk9200 ” i thnk Paul is giving good advice to women on how they can improve their chances on landing a man.”
    I’d like to hear his advice to men on how they can improve their chances on landing the successful smart educated women of today.. Why ido u view it as competion when I point the focus on what’s going on with the bm? Is it fair to put it all on the BW and make her responsible for getting bW? It works both ways and Paul seems to only focus on BW and that’s not fair.

  10. nancydrew5 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    Zk9200 I meant that …
    Zk9200 I meant that ‘some men’ expect women to uplift them, raise them up so they can succeed. Why can’t they succeed by themselves independent of that woman? I’m not talking about ‘thugs either. So called good men think it’s a bw’s role to help them to ‘succeed. This to me is their parent’s job. Some men are used to women spending their time, energy & money on them as tho they’re supposed to and they’re not even hubbys. What makes them a man, if the woman is doing the ‘manly supporting?

    Zk9200 “Black men …
    Zk9200 “Black men in the age group 20 – 35 is either in prison, jail, on probation, or parole on any given day”
    See to me Paul should be addressing this. Why so many potential eligible bm are out of the dating pool and behind bars. Instead of focusing so much on the single black wn’s supposed flaws, why can’t he address whats going on with the black men that they are choosing to live unproductive lives. This is killing social relations in the black community and the impact is far reaching.

    A friend of mine …
    A friend of mine was engaged to a college educated guy who wanted her to invest about 10K of money she received from her mother’s insurance, into a start up business he had. We advised her to have the man go to business school. (He had a psychology degree) but wanted to open a business in something not even related to his discipline nor did he have any inkling on how to run a business. When she asked him to do this, he balked. She invested, lost her money, they broke up. He wasn’t a thug.

  13. nancydrew5 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    Zk9200 if this …
    Zk9200 if this doesn’t apply to you then pass it by. No need to bring in the ‘All police’ . Not all men who are lazy complacent are considered to be ‘thugs’ (see you’re generalizing as well) Some are good men who still lack initiative and drive to go for what they want. Even Paul himself said that his wife made him into the man he is today. Which is why he advocates investment. Women tend to get their own their own without men investing in them, but ‘some’ men want women to push them.

    @gynuwyne1 , now …
    @gynuwyne1 , now thats a very good comment.

  15. zk92000 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    @nancydrew5, ” Many …
    @nancydrew5, ” Many BM are lazy complacent and have no self motivation to achieve on the level as some of the black sistahs who are out there making it happen for themselves and it shows in their careers, earning power and education ”
    Your looking at the wrong men. of course u can find the bad ones if u want to. So what? i can find hood rats all over, but i choose not to date them. dont make it out that black men have no goals and aspirations. We all have losers & winners so dont generalize.

  16. zk92000 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    @vmoney65, very …
    @vmoney65, very true. Im in DC too. People dont know in DC almost one in four (23 percent) of Black men in the age group 20 – 35 is either in prison, jail, on probation, or parole on any given day. Theres a big numbers problem here. Any black woman here needs to be on her “A Game”. Ladies dont come here if u dont like those odds.

    Nah aint no thang …
    Nah aint no thang but a chicken wang. Im cool but that dumb vmoney coming after me in my posts when I wuzent even talking to his crazy gay azz in the first place. 18. nancydrew5 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    Whoa! What the …
    Whoa! What the heck happened in this thread! Wow.. AinBehavinMis please don’t let me get on your bad side! lol You are vicious! But you make some valid points. Im sorry that your sister had that happen to her. Sadly too often I hear stories like this all the time. And you’re right there is definitely a double standard. Men do think they are all that when it comes to their accomplishments but they are quick to put down accomplished women and accuse them of attitude. You called it.

  19. Tsugua21 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    @AintBehavinMis, …
    @AintBehavinMis, What has vmoney65 done to you? Why are you so angry?

  20. AintBehavinMis on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    And if anybody …
    And if anybody didn’t know how easily rattled n in control men like Vmoney like to be, how they like to have double standards n dictate how they think women ought to think n feel, how they are insecure with women n how they have to argue with every single post up in here that disagrees with ‘his’ thoughts then you’ve proven to the women that u are a straight fool off his meds and should be avoided. The MYTH of the so called good man ain’t so good if you’re the example to go by. I rest my case.

  21. AintBehavinMis on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    Thank you Vmoney …
    Thank you Vmoney for beiing gay and liking to suck dyck now that is one less fool we women have to worry about trying to get into our drawyers, the men are welcome to your stupid dumb azz! You are a straight fool and you aint no winner nor or you civil, You are just a fukkin loser with no life, and nothing better to do than to engage me a complete stranger, one you claim not to matter to you, yet YOU ARE STILL HERE POSTING TO ME!! LOL. I’m loving it, you contradict yourself.

  22. AintBehavinMis on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    If you’re so wise …
    If you’re so wise and mature like you claim to be and throw out Jesus, then why aren’t you smart enough to disengage? Why are you still here posting to me? You already said you would make like Mark Twain, yet you don’t even take your own advice much less that of Mark Twain, you can’t let it go and it kills you to do that. U have control issues, if you didn’t you would have long been gone. But u can’t stand the thought of a woman getting the last word outdoing u, again the small dyck syndroom

  23. vmoney65 on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    I was a winner long …
    I was a winner long before I touched this keyboard. You do this dance because you need attention and really, you should thank me for the attention I’ve shown you. You should also thank me for the respect of my civility. I will thank YOU for something however. I will thank you for allowing me to use you to make my point. If anyone didn’t know how venomous and easily rattled sisters can be, they know now the MYTH of the so-called strong black woman. Strong? No. Insecure and angry? I rest my case.

  24. AintBehavinMis on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    Who wants to …
    Who wants to rediscover your azz, they should bury your azz, lol. In the meantime you need to do something about your wild assumptions, you don’t know anything about my background or family other than the bit I shared about my sister’s ex. You want me to let it go, then you let it go. Because your obsession with having the last say is hurting YOU! You crazy stupid dumb small fukker.

  25. AintBehavinMis on May 19th, 2010 5:48 am

    Why you still …
    Why you still continue to talk to me worrying about what I need to do with my mouth? If I’m this stranger you don’t care about tell me why are you still here? Focus on your flaws, and where you want to put your mouth (wrapped around another brothas dyck). Seriously why you keep talkin to me if you don’t like what I say. You want me to stop the potty mouth stop posting to me then, until then I’m going to keep on calling you the dumb crazy gay downlow that you know you are up in here.

Got something to say?
