How do I turn down a date offer but not totally blow the guy off?

So a guy I barely know came up to me at work and said that he was looking for someone to go to the beach with next week. I told him I’d have to check my schedule but I’d let him know next time we work together. First problem is that I’m not even sure it’s a date. Second problem is I barely know him and don’t really want to spend an entire day at the beach with him. I wouldn’t be opposed to a date, but a whole day is a lot and he doesn’t need to see me in a bikini right away. I just want to know how I can make an excuse for not wanting to go to the beach but not turning down the idea entirely…
Tell him that you, because of your friends, have had waaay too much of the beach scene lately, and ask if he’d instead like to try lunch/outdoor movie or a walk somewhere else on that day, or another day if that day’s not good. If you’re trying to wait until you know him better to have any kind of date with him, then you could attempt to *unexpectedly-find-him-completely-by-accident* at one of his hangouts and chat with him a bit, or ask whomever you know about him a bit, without seeming interested, of course.

The period right after your breakup with a boyfriend is really hard for lots of women. But every relationship is different… but there are some things that you CAN do to help get ex boyfriend back in your arms again.
The first tip to get ex boyfriend back is… to be nice to him.
That’s right! This means no nagging, no acting unpleasant or generally acting like a spoiled princess. If you are doing this right now… then you are just giving your ex boyfriend a great excuse to get away from you. And keep on doing that stuff, and don’t be surprised he sees you less and less because you are making him uncomfortable with your actions.
And that is the last thing you want to do… drive him away so much that your chances of ever getting back with him is the same as making a lunar trip. So make nice with him. Be a very pleasant person to be around. At the same time, don’t fake it! False sincerity on the other hand can be detected for what it is… manipulation to get what you want.
So you are sitting here wondering, how can I get my ex boyfriend back by pretending to be a nice person? I would have to say, if you have to “pretend” to be nice to him… then what you really should do is question why you want to get back together with him? You may want to reconsider that and find another guy that you don’t have to fake being nice to… I’m just saying…

But on the other hand, don’t expect your ex boyfriend to admit that he could use a little self-improvement too… it is too early for that right now.

If you are wondering if you can grab your ex boyfriend back if he has a new girlfriend? Well, this is a hard situation to overcome. Not only it would be difficult for you to get alone with him, he is also focusing on his own relationship with the new girlfriend. Unfortunately, you are part of his past and not a huge priority for him anymore.
However! I would suggest being nice to him anyway… because his new relationship could be a short term rebound one and you still can get back with him later on. Just be nice to him and make him see what a wonderful person you are and how much he is missing out by not being with you.
Can I get my ex boyfriend back by tricking him? I don’t recommend this route. For the obvious reason, if you lie or overexaggerate to fool him… and he finds on later on when you are both together, there is always a chance he will leave you for good. So don’t do it. Be honest, trustworthy and… nice to him!
How about making my ex boyfriend jealous… will that make him come back to me?
I doubt it for a good reason. If you try to make him jealous, he may think that you are moving on and your plans could backfire. But let me say this to you, if you find yourself in a position to date another guy… then you should do it if it makes you happy. But don’t date another guy to make your ex boyfriend jealous… it is unfair to your date and it is a game that is best not to play. You want to get back together with your boyfriend… and making him jealous isn’t a great idea.
I hope you got a few good ideas what to do to get back your ex boyfriend. My main suggestion is to be nice to him… act like the breakup is no big deal and you are perfectly fine with everything. Make a little improvement to yourself so he will notice that… and find a way to get back together with you!
