I am 16 years old and never had a boyfriend. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the way I am. I am not that insecure with myself but it just seems like everyone else in my school has had at least one boyfriend but me. I am kind of shy. I do not really like to talk unless someone starts talking to me first. I am never the one to be the first to say anything. But I am not that shy around people I am comfortable with like my family. I have a hard time coming out of my shell but I have gotten better since I was little. I am also really tall(6 feet 2 inches) and very skinny. I play basketball and I workout four days a weeks in the off season and during the summer. I am also a straight A student. All of the other girls I know that have boyfriends are short, super thin, very loud and outgoing, and do not play any sports or do any physical activity what so ever and are really dumb and don’t make the greatest choices. I was just wondering if the way I am is a turn off for guys? I just want to know what guys really look for in girls. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
i am not scary skinny. I look healthy. I do however have a disorder in which it makes it hard for me to gain weight.

it’s all about quality not quantity. Those girls are dating guys just to date them. They aren’t really gaining anything from them and the guys don’t respect them in any manner. Sure it may seem like the end of the world now but you will be in college soon and there will be plenty of guys. You should look for a quality guy who takes time to get to know to you and enjoys everything about you like your intelligence and athletic abilities.

Any tips please on dating someone with ADHD, how do you make it successful, whats the key points i need to know about ADHD, how can i help in the relationship.

Be patient and understanding, if they are really doing the best that they can in the relationship.
Know and expect them to have differences in the way they do things, and know that they might be compulsive in decision making.

Offer your help, an example would be with helping them to budget time…
"okay, i will call you in 30 minutes…that should give you time to ___________"
or offer to help them create lists or go shopping to help them stay focused in the store.

Don’t treat them differently or talk to them like they are stupid, which I’m sure you wouldn’t do anyway. That’s the worst though for me, when I’m talked down to when my IQ typically is equivalent, or even higher.

But for my patience and understanding from friends, familiy, boyfriends, has been the best.

Hey guys im 18 and I know so clearly now that i am a lesbian. I’ve known since I was a kid but my problem is, Im seeing a guy now.. When I used to have boyfriends it ment nothing to me and still doesnt but this time its different. Everytime i see him or im about to see him i get butterflies in my stomach, I feel sick. This is the first time in my life I’ve not felt right about myself. Ive been thinking about coming out for awhile now as its becoming so much more clearer to me so I should have known better than to ‘date’ a guy at work. I feel like crap, im so unhappy, when we’re together all i think about is girls..its unfair on him.

But like i said, Ive always known i was gay but latley its a big deal to me cos i want to be happy and i love girls. I date guys to hide suspicions and im sick of it because people think im happy and im not. guys what should i do?! please help

First of all;

- Congratulations on accepting your sexuality. It seems trivial but believe me it is not. Even now in the 21st century people hid their sexuality or deny it their entire lives. (Some live in countries where their life is at stake so it’s very understandable)

Secondly;

- You need to talk to your boyfriend. As you said it’s "unfair on him" and you know you have to tell him. I strongly recommend you tell someone who can keep their mouths shut and will understand..eg your mother (if you are optimistic she will accept). That first person you tell will give you the support you need to tell your bf. It’s more than likely going to be tough and he may take the news badly. YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO TAKE THAT RISK IF YOU WANT HAPPINESS!! On the other hand he may very well be understanding.

Finally;

-good luck
