Recently started dating an african american/ dominican and he wants me to make him dinner HELP!!!?

Ok I am hispanic and I recently started dating an african american/dominican man who asked me to make dinner for him and I have no clue what to make him for dinner I am a very good cook and can cook or follow direction very well but I have no idea what to make for him please someone give me ideas for dinner plans for the new man in my life

Platano’ con salami…..or just make rice, beans, and chicken. If you’re dominican, you and him more than likely eat similar food with different names. (Not all foods but a lot of them). I’m dominican so trust me. If not, then just make some pasta with garlic bread. Race has nothing to do with the stomach or the appetite.

What does his or your race have to do with anything? Make him a nice lasagna, salad and garlic bread.

politely decline his kind "invitation" it’s not his place early in a relationship to ask for home cooked meals

What does race have to do with cooking? why don’t you cook him some of your favorite dishes.. either hispanic, southern American, italian, or anything. Just ask him if he is allergic to anything or if there are foods that he doesn’t like.then go from there, If it is meant to last you will have plenty of oppertunities to cook for and with him.

I’m sure he will like anything you cook for him but if you don’t know what he likes ask him to tell you what some of his fav’s are and then decide then what to fix. I agree that lasagna is a good dish to make too.

That’s cute. I am Dominican strait up. My cousins are half African American and Dominican. Gorgeous. My 4 male cousins are gorgeous and TALL. Man if they were not related to me… I would probably hit one up… (just kidding!) Just do Platains and cooked Salami. It’s very easy to do and what Dominican or any Hispanic does not like this?

He may not be asking you to make him something from his country. He may be wanting you to share a meal from your culture. I would suggest cooking one of your favorite dishes.

However I do know it’s fun learning new recipes and having someone to show them off too.
So there are websites to go to for recipes. Have fun!
