I know the movie 21 (the one about the card counting in Vegas) had a bunch of white people playing the main characters, even though the characters were based off of real people that were asian.

I love avatar theTV show, I still watch it when it comes on, and when the movie trailers came out I was so excited, but then all you see is white people. I’m not even asian or have a big problem with white people, and I was pissed, because the show is so obviously asian culture, that I honestly thoughT now asians can’t be asians in movies. Im with you all the way Tenchi! I’m a huge fan of anime, and even though I am Black, I was equally as insulted and as you are. Why is Hollywood so biased and afriad of giving other races a chance to shine? The only solution is for Asians to make their own movies and show everyone the truth and beauty of your race. Waiting on Hollywood to do it for you is a big mistake.

Being mixed with Korean I know about rep-ing where I come from I do it everyday. I rep America to the Koreans and Korea to the Americans to show them that Asians come in variety. That’s just what I don’t understand. It’s hard enough for “minorities” to get jobs in show biz, but when it comes to the Asian population it’s almost none existent. It’s really unjust, and I would love to see more minorities in show biz. It needs to be evened out. It needs to be fair. I really hope the Asian population gets the attention they deserve. There’s talent in EVERY race.

also i wanted to point out that Dav Patel plays Zuko in the movie and he’s Indian…I thought that was a weird choice because I always think of Dante Basco (with his fine self…I’ve loved this guy since Hook) whenever I think of Zuko. yeah I used to watch Avatar. I’m glad you took the direction you did with the video because there is no one way to date someone. It’s either you’re feeling someone or you’re not. And what you said is only what everybody was thinking. When I first saw the Avatar trailer I was too.
