I am having some trouble getting myself known in the entertainment industry.
I am a 5’6 1/2" 110 lbs girl
I have medium-long light brown hair with artificial blond highlights that look natural
I have green eyes that have many other colors in them, which i always get compliments on.
Last year I was in a local production of annie, and got the part of Annie.
This year I was in the local production of The Wizards of Oz, and got the part of Dorthy.
I have been dancing since I was 2, and taking advanced classes, and have a recital coming up soon.
I have been taking piano lessons for 8 1/2 years, and I am at an advanced level.
I have been singing since I was 3, but taking professional lessons since i was 5, and also have a youtube channel which features me singing.
I taught myself to play the guitar last year.
I did print ads for Nordstrom 3 years ago, before i changed schools, and could no longer do them.
I take acting classes in my area from a lady with over 20 years of experience.
I auditioned for the role of Macy on JONAS but was denied because i was too tall.
My piano and voice teacher is a professional graduate from Julliard.
I am home-schooled which allows me to be able to go on auditions.
I have up to date professional headshots and a resume.
I am trying to get into the acting/modeling/and music industry and don’t know what I should do to take that next step. Help?

It sounds like you’ve already IN the industry. Especially you got invited to audition for JONAS. But you are just looking to do more stuff, right?
My suggestion would be, talk to the agent who sent you out to the JONAS audition, and see what is his/her advice on taking your career to the next level. What other training or types of work will get you more exposure.
I know for many working actors who are over the age of 18, often take workshops with Casting Directors. Try to maintain a good working relationship with them, so when they are casting for a show (CSI, Medium, Ghost Whisper, 24..etc) they will keep us in mind, and hopefully will call us in to audition for a part.
Your agent can also arrange a meeting for you with a Casting Director – just to establish the working relationship.
At the same time, talk to your Acting Teacher, and see what her advice would be. With over 20 yaers of experience, I’m sure she would know Casting Directors that she can referr you to, and audition for a part in an up coming production.
You can do the same with your singing/voice teacher – to see if there’s a showcase that you can perform, to get your name and talent out to the public.
Since you are near LA area, I would recommend you to get a copy of "Call Sheet" (formally known as "The Ross Report") at your local bookstore. It lists all the Los Angeles and New York based Talent Agents, Talent Managers, and Casting Directors – their address, and information about their office.
For your dance recital, I would suggest you send out Postcards or invitation to the Casting Directors that you know would be interested in "Dance/Musical" type of projects. If you are currently not being represented in the Dance department, you can send the invitation to Talent Agencies that specializes in Dancers and Choregraphers (Bloc Agency http://www.blocagency.com is a good example) so they can come to see you perform!!
The same with Modeling – if you don’t have a modeling agent that sends you out for Print/Commercial castings – then you need to get yourself represented. Red Talent http://www.red-talent.com for example, is a Talent Agency that represent Models for Fashion, Commercial, Life Style, as well as TV and Film.
Doing research is part of an Actor’s job. And understand how to market yourself is very important. That is why many Actors have postcards (basically a mini-headshot) that they can send out to Casting Directors, to update them on any upcoming shows, or bookings. Whenever you auditioned for a Casting Director, you should also send a "Thank You" card the next day.
I would also recommend these 2 books for you, that may help you get a better idea on what you can do, to improve and manage your Acting career better. You can either look for them at local library, or buy used copy (cheaper) on amazon.com
