what are the chances of a african-american woman dating a man who is white and 9 years younger making a real connection? my main concern is that he has never been married and has no children. i, on the other hand have 2 adult children, 2 grandchildren and no interest in going down that road again. my next concern is that my older friends will bore him, and that his younger friends will find me aged. should i halt and reverse, or proceed?
you don’t mention your age but I suspect that you are in your 40′s to 50′s
9 years in 40 to 50′s is not as critical.

Why don’t you just you just ‘go with the flow’ and enjoy it whilst it lasts. Maturity is not governed by age – you have mature 20/30 year olds and immature 50/60 year olds. It all depends on the person.
Does he treat you with respect and love and pay you attention and have you discussed your concerns with him? If he does and can cope with your children and grandchildren then go for it and let the chips fall where they may with your friends and it might help them broaden their views on the honky.

You can also do this by chatting but you have to be careful with that. You say something and don’t mean it the way it sounds. So you have to be careful.
